Simple Agility Drill with Bands

From www.youtube.com In this video the person using elastics bands to improve agility.  One of the key facets to watch for in this agility drill for soccer is how much pressure is exerted on the eccentric portion of run.  To watch this agility drill for soccer just click the video below. 

In the video pay attention to the load put on the player's leg at the cut.  This drill can improve the ability to change directions by loading up the leg at the cut.   Here is what is happening in that leg.  The bands are pulling the player back towards the cutting leg.  By applying the extra resistance you are overloading that cutting leg.  It is important to do this on each leg.

Yes the player has resistance as he pushes away.  But the load at the cut (or eccentric) is a part that cannot be overlooked.
