One leg squat |

The one leg squat is a great exercise. Picture the soccer
player. Does he or she play on two legs at a time? Not
unless they are standing still. So part of the proper
development of a soccer player needs to be on one leg. A great
way to do this is as pictured in the video below. The person
performing the one leg squat in the video is using weights.
She lifts the weights up and in front of herself as a counter
balance.
Before you move on to weights with the one leg squat start with exercises like the split squat and lunge with no weights. These exercises can be done with the team out of the field.
